Underwriting Support Associate
Location: On-Site at Glen Allen, VA Office
Job Description: This entry level role is designed for individuals looking to build a strong foundation in underwriting operations while supporting senior team members and contributing to process efficiency. With demonstrated growth, initiative, and subject matter expertise, this role offers the opportunity for advancement to higher-level Underwriting Support positions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day to day support ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of team processes, becoming a subject matter expert within the underwriting support function.
- Take on an increasing workload and expanded responsibilities as skills and knowledge grow.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Support team initiatives and contribute to a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
- 1-2 years of professional experience in insurance, financial services, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with team members at all levels.
- Demonstrate initiative, problem-solving ability, and willingness to learn.
